Skip Webb -
Principal [EMAIL
SKIP]
E.
Sherman "Skip" Webb's professional career in the
political arena has spanned over three decades. As a campaign
manager, executive assistant to a Delaware governor, senior
consultant with Matt Reese and Associates and head of his
own consulting firm, Skip Webb has led a remarkable career
as a dynamic political activist.
Skip's
creative approach for some major campaigns has led to wonderful
campaign innovations, including:
- The
first-ever geo-demographic targeting in a political setting
on behalf of the labor committee to defeat the industry-supported
referendum to make Missouri a Right-to-Work state;
- A
major early voter contact/fundraising program in 1984 for
North Carolina's Jim Hunt for US Senate;
- Developing
a winning campaign strategy for I. DeQuincy Newman, whose
victory over a Republican in a special election made him
the first African American in the South Carolina State Senate
since Reconstruction.
Since
the establishment of Campaign Systems in 1979, Skip and his
staff have worked on more than 500 campaigns in 38 states
and Washington, D.C. These campaigns have varied from local
municipal races to statewide Presidential campaigns. In recent
years, Campaign Systems has focused its efforts in southeastern
states like Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina,
and Virginia.
Though
Campaign Systems is a general consulting firm, its primary
specialty is direct voter contact programs. In addition, the
consulting firm assists with the development of programs for
referenda and ballot initiatives. Campaign Systems has helped
secure the passage of initiatives worth over $4 billion for
schools, roads, libraries, and other public works.
